OnePlus Nord CE 5 Leaked Renders Reveal Bold New Design Ahead of Expected May Launch

April 17, 2025 — The successor to OnePlus’ popular mid-range lineup is almost here. With the OnePlus Nord CE 5 expected to launch in May 2025, a new leak has surfaced giving fans their first look at the device’s rear panel design and camera layout. The render, shared by SmartPrix, showcases a refreshed design direction that blends familiar Nord elements with bold new changes.

Fresh Rear Design With iPhone-Like Camera Influence

The leaked render reveals a striking pink finish, with flat sides and sharp edges, resembling the design approach seen in the Nord CE 4 Lite. However, the capsule-shaped dual-camera module draws immediate comparisons to the rumored Apple iPhone 16 design. Despite this, OnePlus appears to retain its identity with a vertically aligned camera layout, a design trait consistent across the Nord series.

Interestingly, the LED flash has been moved outside the camera housing, creating a cleaner and more symmetrical rear panel. Apart from the dual camera protrusion and OnePlus logo centered on the back, the design appears minimalist and modern.

Expected Specifications and Features

According to earlier leaks, the OnePlus Nord CE 5 will bring solid performance upgrades to the lower mid-range segment:

  • Display: 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED, 120Hz refresh rate

  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8350 (4nm)

  • RAM & Storage: 8GB RAM, 256GB storage

  • Rear Cameras: Dual setup with 50MP primary + 8MP ultrawide

  • Front Camera: 16MP selfie shooter

  • Battery: Massive 7,100mAh battery with 80W fast charging

The switch to MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8350 chipset indicates a performance-focused approach with efficient power usage. Combined with a large battery and fast charging, the Nord CE 5 could emerge as a reliable daily driver for budget-conscious users.

A Promising Follow-Up to the Nord CE 4

The Nord CE 4, launched last year, was a decent performer in its segment but lacked strong camera capabilities, especially in low-light conditions. With the Nord CE 5, OnePlus appears to be focusing on design innovation, battery life, and display performance, while refining the camera hardware.

The official launch is expected next month, and more details, including pricing and availability, are likely to surface soon. For now, the leaked render has sparked curiosity, especially among fans seeking an affordable OnePlus device with a modern aesthetic.
