Mohamed Al-Fayed who has been accused of several rapes and sexual assaults a year after his death in 2023 once made an indecent proposal to Princess Diana that left her shaking. Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell said Diana called Fayed a creep and also 'Yoda' from Star Wars character. Burrell also revealed the indecent proposal that Fayed made to Diana as he said he wanted Diana to marry his son because in "Egyptian tradition, the father goes first". "I'm going to sleep with you," Fayed said.

This was before Diana's relationship with Mohamed Al-Fayed's son Emad El-Din "Dodi" Mohamed Fayed, who was killed in the same Paris car crash with Princess Diana.

Princess Diana was wary of Mohamed Al Fayed , called him creepy and slimy. "He's always putting his hands on me," Burrell said Diana used to complain to him. Fayed has courted Diana since 1986 when he met her at a polo match sponsored by Harrods, Burrell revealed.

According to The Sun, Burrell was disgusted when he heard Fayed's "sleep with you" comment to Diana who was half of his age that time. Fayed died last year at the age of 94.

“I was in the car when she (Princess Diana) came running out from his office shaking and told me, and these are her exact words, that he said, ‘I want you to marry my son because in Egyptian tradition, the father goes first’," Burrell said.

"Can you imagine making love to Yoda?" Diana told Burrell.

“Diana was repulsed by the thought of having to surrender to him. By making that comment, he was setting the stage for that encounter and he was serious.

“He thought that was his right and that it would actually happen — that he would actually sleep with the Princess of Wales. And that was always in her mind all through her romance with Dodi," Burrell said.

During Diana's affair with Dodi, Fayed became a father figure lavishing Diana with gifts, letting her use a secret entrance into his Knightsbridge store, the butler who worked from Diana from 1987 to 1997 revealed.

Burrell elaborated that Harrods offered a safe haven for her and it was only round the corner from her favorite restaurant, San Lorenzo, and she loved being able to pop in. “Fayed saw a chance to bring her into his domain. He let her use a secret tunnel that takes you under and back up into the store.

“He told her she could have anything she wanted for free, which she declined, and let her and the boys do late-night shopping.

“What he did was give her something the royals didn’t give her. He facilitated an escape for her — and he knew what he was doing," Burrell said adding that when everyone concentrated on Dodi and the Princess, the puppet master was Fayed.

Fayed responsible for Diana's death: Bodyguard

Diana's bodyguard inspector Ken Wharfe recently said Fayed was responsible for Diana's car crash. "Fayed himself was controlling this whole affair, whole movement, of Diana and his son Dodi from his office in Park Lane," he said. His team was protecting Diana for 15 years while Al Fayed's team of bodyguards had been in charge for just eight weeks when the tragedy struck. Wharfe said one thing that could have prevented the crash was removing Henri Paul from the driving seat.
