“I used to get excited about what Will Smith was wearing on the show. You know, from the baggy jackets to what shoes he was wearing. The matching tie-dye outfits, you know, with the shorts and the T-shirt,” James said.
James also described how Smith’s character inspired him to embrace unique style choices. “He used to wear the nice trucker hats. And either flip up the brim or turn it backwards”, he said.
The veteran also discussed that he found Smith’s character “cool” and admired how others in the show accepted his originality. “I just thought he was cool because he was like an inner-city kid in Beverly Hills, like acting a fool, being himself, and they had to accept him for who he was,” the Los Angeles Lakers star noted.
