NEW DELHI: As Narendra Modi led-NDA government completes 100 days in office, Congress described it as a “government of U-turns” marked by “instability, indecision and immaturity”. The opposition party questioned government’s performance on a wide range of issues highlighting 26 terror incidents in J&K , NEET paper leaks and exam cancellations, 104 cases of crimes against women involving 157 victims, rising inflation and unemployment among other issues.

“From Day 1, Modi has proven to be a weak PM, dependent on crutches, setting new records for U turns,” Congress spokesperson and social media and digital platforms department chairperson, Supriya Shrinate alleged while referring to the Uturns of Modi government on lateral entry, broadcast bill, waqf board bill, indexation, and NPS to UPS.

Congress also demanded to know what was the government’s plan for strife torn Manipur and will PM ever visit the state that has been burning for 16 months.

On the issue of corruption, Shrinate lashed out at Modi alleging “all those you (PM) called corrupt are now in BJP.” Referring to SC’s reprimands on many occasions for misuse of agencies, she asked “whether the PM will continue to use agencies as BJP’s front, or does he plan to free them?”
Shirnate said unemployment has hit an 8-month record high even as people were affected due to “brutally high prices”.

She further questioned “PM’s silence” on Chinese incursions in Ladakh.

On J&K, Shrinate said in these 100 days, the UT witnessed 26 terror attacks, leading to 21 soldiers being killed and injuries to 29 others. Besides, she added, there were 15 civilian deaths and 47 injuries.
She also claimed there was a sharp rise in crimes against women, with at least one serious crime committed every day.
