A 14-year-old schoolboy was detained in MP’s Tikamgarh Thursday for allegedly killing a four-year-old boy who resisted his sexual assault bid. The suspect, a Class VII student, was remanded in a shelter for juveniles. The victim went missing on Tuesday, and his body was found dumped in bushes near his home the next day. Police suspected sexual assault and set up four special teams to probe.
The investigation zeroed in on the teen as a suspect. Police said he admitted during questioning that he lured the child under the pretext of eating tamarind and tried to sodomise him. When the child fought back, he panicked and strangled him.
