John Cena scripts history: WWE star sets major record ahead of his WrestleMania 41 bout

As WrestleMania 41 is just a few weeks away, WWE star John Cena is set to script history again and set a record in the biggest bout of his career, before he bids adieu to the ring forever in 2025. The Cenation leader, who is currently busy with his farewell tour, will break a major record in the upcoming Show of Shows.

Following his Elimination Chamber feud against Cody Rhodes, The Cenation leader will challenge The American Nightmare for the WWE Undisputed Championship title, which will take place on April 19-April 20, 2025, at WrestleMania 41.

If Cena wins the championship, he will be the 17-time WWE World Champion. However, before his big bout, John Cena set to break a major record and carve his name into glory in the history of professional wrestling.

WWE star John Cena is set to break another major record and add another feather to his cap before his big bout against Cody Rhodes at the upcoming WrestleMania 41. As per reports, John Cena will be the first WWE star to challenge for 10 championships in WrestleMania matches.

This was announced in the X handle of Wrestling Stats and Info on April 8, 2024, and Cena’s appearance in the 2025 event marks a first-time record for any WWE star.



The Cenation leader had his first WrestleMania moment back in March 2004. In WrestleMania 20, Cena challenged The Big Show for the United States Championship, which he was his first big win.

At WrestleMania 21, he had an intense match with JBL for the WWE Championship. Followed by WrestleMania 24, where he challenged Randy Orton and Triple H in a nail-biting triple-threat match.

John Cena next locked horns with The Big Show and Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 25. At WrestleMania 26, he challenged Batista for the WWE Championship, and The Miz was challenged for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 27.


The most exciting segment of the WWE era came when John Cena locked horns with The Rock and challenged him at WrestleMania 29, followed by Rusev at WrestleMania 31, Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39, and now he will face Cody Rhodes at his last WrestleMania in 2025.

John Cena has dropped hints about an unpredictable storyline about his heel character, which is currently underway and can be witnessed during WrestleMania 41.

During an interview with People magazine, the Cenation leader opened up about his heel-turn and teased that there's a much more unpredictable plotline waiting for the fans. In the interview, Cena stated, "I'm going to say that there's more unpredictability on the way.”
