Vinayak Chaturthi 2024: Significance
Vinayak Chaturthi has a great religious significance among Hindus. This day is purely dedicated to worship Lord Ganesha. On this auspicious day of Vinayaka Chaturthi, devotees offer prayers to Ganpati Ji and seek blessings. Chaturthi Tithi falls twice in a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. Lord Ganesha is the first worshipped God or Pratham Pujya. He is the one, who removes all the obstacles from the life of devotees.
Observing Chaturthi fast is one of the most easiest way to please Lord Ganesha. He is the most loving God among others and without worshipping him, no auspicious activity can be done. Devotees can please the Lord by performing such activities such as - offering him Durva grass, modaks and laddoos, worship him before starting every puja ritual and auspicious activity.
Vinayak Chaturthi 2024: Puja Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before starting puja rituals.
2. Clean the house and puja room and take a wooden plank.
3. Place an idol of Lord Ganesha on that wooden plank and put tilak, offer flowers, durva grass and boondi laddoos.
4. Light a diya with desi ghee and light incense sticks also.
5. Recite Bindayak ji ki kahani and chant Ganesha aarti.
6. Offer arghya to Moon God in the evening and then break your fast and take sattvik food.
