Ekadashi in November 2024 : Significance

Ekadashi is one of the most auspicious day which is purely dedicated to worship Lord Vishnu. Ekadashi falls twice in a month during Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. This day has a great religious and spiritual significance, when a large number of devotees observer fast and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu. This day is considered as the most sacred day to perform various puja rituals to please Lord Vishnu. Devotees perform, various spiritual and religious activities on this auspicious day. It is believed that performing puja to Lord Vishnu on the day of Ekadashi brings prosperity and happiness in life. Lord Vishnu bestow the devotees with all the worldly pleasures.

This month Dev Uthani Ekadashi will be observed, which marks the beginning of all auspicious activities such as marriages, engagements, griha pravesh, buying properties and other things. It is believed that during Chaturmaas, one should not perform any auspicious activity as Lord Vishnu, the preserver of this universe goes to sleep in the milky ocean. Ekadashi in November 2024: Puja Rituals

1. Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before starting puja rituals.
2. Clean the house and puja room also.
3. Take a wooden plank and place an idol of Lord Vishnu along with Shree Yantra.
4. Give bath to Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna and Laddoo Gopal Ji idol.
5. Light a diya with desi ghee, light incense sticks and offer Tulsi Patra, which is offered as a bhog prasad and without offering Tulsi Patra, puja is considered incomplete.
