Shah Rukh Khan, the ‘King of Bollywood’, has always been known for his charm, wit, and powerful screen presence. Whether he’s making fans fall in love with his romantic roles or thrilling them with action-packed performances, SRK never fails to leave a mark. But beyond the glitz of fame, Shah Rukh has a deeply emotional side that he rarely shows, until he sat down for a heart-to-heart chat with veteran actor Anupam Kher.
‘Disrespect hurts me a lot’
In a past episode of 'The Anupam Kher Show', Shah Rukh opened up in a rare and honest way. In the interview the ‘My Name Is Khan’ actor was asked by Anupam, “Do you easily get hurt? What hurts you the most?”
SRK didn’t hold back. He replied, “A lot. I am very over-sensitive. That's why I think I get hurt. Disrespect hurts me a lot. Because I have never insulted anyone in my life. If I meet anyone, I will bow down and respect them.”
‘It doesn’t feel good when it becomes personal’
As the conversation continued, Anupam tried to reason with the ‘Swades’ actor and said, “But it's not possible, Shah Rukh, that everyone likes you. But if you keep looking for it, you will be in a lot of pain.”
To this, Khan replied with a smile, “No, I don't get worried. But it's not that I want everyone to like me. They don't like my work. They don't like the way I talk, it's fine. But it doesn't feel good when it becomes personal. That hurts.”
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in the 2023 film 'Dunki', directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The comedy-drama explores the controversial method of illegal immigration known as “donkey flight”. The film stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal in an extended cameo.
Next up, Shah Rukh will be seen in the much-awaited film 'King', directed by Siddharth Anand. The action-thriller is making headlines not just because SRK is leading it, but also because it will be his first film with his daughter, Suhana Khan. Reportedly Deepika Padukone is also expected to play Suhana’s mother in an extended cameo.
