Tara Sutaria, who can carry any outfit – traditional or super glam – with class and ease, believes in timeless, classic styles when it comes to her own fashion statement. “I am stuck in the era of 50s and 60s in terms of fashion and I don’t follow too many trends. I like the fashion from that era as I believe it is timeless,” says the actress who made a stunning showstopper at the recent Bombay Times Fashion Week.
Talking about how fashion and style differ from person to person, the actress said, “I also think that minimalism can never go out of style, and it is something that I follow in my daily attire too. When it comes to walking for fashion shows, I like both minimalism and maximalism because it all depends on the collection and style of the season.”
Tara likes to keep it simple and cool, and not follow fads and trends. “I feel that when you are dressed as yourself – whether it is for regular days or special occasions – it is really trendy and cool. Each one has their own style, and we should follow what suits us the best. Comfort never goes out of style.”
Tara walked for designer Hetal Shah who introduced her bridal collection at Bombay Times Fashion Week, “Eternal Elegance 2024,” a love letter to the timeless beauty of brides and grooms. Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of Indian royalty, the collection told a story woven from love, tradition, and the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship. From the majestic palaces to the tranquil Mughal gardens, each piece reflected the splendour of Indian culture.
