Rakul Preet Singh is currently gearing up for her next project 'De De Pyaar De 2' with Ajay Devgn. The film’s shoot is going on in Punjab and the actress has recently shared pictures from the set.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Rakul has taken her fans on a nostalgic ride by channelling the iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) moment.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Rakul shared pictures and wrote, “Post packup mood Not to miss my ddlj moment in Punjab ke khet.” In the photos, Rakul has shared different moods. Fans reacted and dropped heart emojis. One of the fans wrote, “Cutness overloaded.”

The next shooting schedule is set to take place in Punjab. As per the latest report by Hindustan Times, the film's first schedule took place in Mumbai, but Ajay had to leave for the Son of Sardar 2 shoot in the UK.

The report also revealed that Tabu will not be part of the sequel. R. Madhavan, Rakul, and Ajay are expected to shoot in Punjab for some time before returning to Mumbai for the next schedule in October.

In the film, R. Madhavan will portray Rakul Preet Singh’s father, and a humorous dynamic will unfold between his character and Ajay Devgn’s character, Ashish.

The scenes set in Punjab will highlight traditional, homely settings, steering clear of any romantic elements. Much of the filming will take place in a bungalow and around farmlands, with the production team working diligently to capture the essence and beauty of rural life.

The first instalment was directed by Akiv Ali, but Anshul Sharma has taken over as director for the second part. Known for his work as creative director on films like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2' and 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', Sharma brings his expertise to the project. The sequel is being produced by Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar, with a planned release in the summer of 2025.
