Popular comedian and actor Rajiv Thakur, who has worked on various shows with Kapil Sharma, had relatively limited screen time in the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a recent exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Rajiv Thakur responded to viewers' complaints about his relatively limited screen time in the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Archana playfully quipped, "Ye iski bhi complaint rahi ke pichle season mein ye kum dikha hai..." (This has been his complaint too, that he was shown less in the previous season).

Rajiv Thakur humorously addressed the topic saying, "I would like to tell the streaming channel listen sun lijiye ye complaint hain.. compliment nahi ke aap mujhe kum use kar rahe ho...jokes apart jabse iss baar hum ne ye season shuru kiya hai.. humne jitne bhi episodes shoot kiye hain, usmein toh ye complaint door hogayi hai, ye kum dikhne waale... (I would like to tell the streaming channel, listen, this is a complaint, not a compliment, that you're giving me less screen time... jokes aside, ever since we started this season, with all the episodes we've shot so far, this complaint of me being shown less has been resolved)."

Rajiv Thakur acknowledged, "When you are working on a new place on something new everybody is on an experimental mode initially. I know main kitne dhurundharon ke beech mein kaam kar raha hoon, ye sabhi dhurandhar hai aur inke beech mein jagah bananne ke liye aap ko kuch efforts karna padega. Woh I am trying, woh jagah ban rahi hai, slowly steadily, it is happening (I know I’m working among highly talented individuals, all of whom are brilliant in their own right. To carve out a space among them, I have to put in some extra effort. I’m trying, and slowly but surely, I’m finding my place. It’s happening gradually)."

The Great Indian Kapil Show is making its return with Season 2, set to begin streaming from September 21 at 8 PM. The first episode of the show will feature Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Vedang Raina, who are making appearance on the show, to promote their film, Jigra.
