Kanye West has sparked controversy once again, this time during a livestream on Twitch that was taken down by the platform. The rapper appeared live for less than 10 minutes before being banned for violating Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service over the content of his rant.
Appearing live while on the phone with someone on the other end, he took a jibe at his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her early days working as an assistant to Paris Hilton.
“Kim was Paris Hilton’s assistant,” West said during the now-deleted stream. “I should’ve had babies with Paris Hilton over Kim Kardashian! Could you imagine if I had kids with Paris Hilton? How many hotels I would have right now? Think about that. The Hilton. The Hilton s–t.”
Paris Hilton, who is now married to entrepreneur Carter Reum and shares two children with him, has not responded to West’s remarks, nor has Kim Kardashian, who shares four children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—with the rapper.
Kanye also went on to compare his ex-wife to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s former housekeeper, alluding to the actor’s extramarital affair. “If you’re like Arnold Schwarzenegger and you have a kid with a nanny, the nanny’s only power is to take your kids,” he said.
Amidst his ongoing custody battle with Kim, he took a swipe at her saying, “So Kim’s only power is to take my kids. I had a baby with a f–king assistant, bro.”
The livestream escalated further when West praised Elon Musk for allegedly allowing him to post freely online. “That freedom is like a n***** getting money and going to Louis Vuitton and you keep going on your credit card and that s–t never goes off,” he remarked.
Shortly after the post was made, Twitch pulled the plug. A message on West’s channel read, “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”
The livestream follows reports that West’s current wife, Bianca Censori, 30, had left him last month amid concerns about his behaviour. However, the pair were recently seen together in Spain.
