Send Push

Jaipur: Despite the transfer of over 100 IAS officers in the state, three new districts—Jodhpur Rural, Jaipur Rural and Dudu—are yet to get district collectors and magistrates.

The additional charge of Jodhpur Rural has been given to the collector of Jodhpur, Gaurav Agrawal, and the charges of Jaipur Rural and Dudu have been given to the collector of Jaipur, Jitendra Kumar Soni.

It is also believed that until the recommendations of the cabinet sub-committee on new districts are received, the status quo is likely to continue. The state govt transferred 13 collectors and district magistrates on Friday.

The list also witnessed the transfer of 33 women IAS officers while giving additional charges to eight. With Shubhra Singh moved out of the secretariat andhaving been appointed as the chairperson of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) in the reshuffle, and Subodh Agarwal being made the director general (DG) of Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sansthan in January this year, chief secretary Sudhansh Pant is now the senior-most IAS officer within the Secretariat.

V Srinivas and Sanjay Malhotra are already under central deputation.

In addition, 10 IAS probationers have been assigned to the industries department as officers on special duty (OSD).

They will likely be assigned to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, scheduled for December of this year.
