BENGALURU: Amazon has appointed Samir Kumar as its India country manager in addition to his current charter of leading Amazon's consumer businesses in the Middle East , South Africa , and Turkey. Kumar replaces his predecessor Manish Tiwary , who is leaving the firm to pursue opportunities outside. Kumar is working closely with Tiwary on the transition and will take charge beginning Oct 1.
Kumar, who joined Amazon in 1999, was a part of the original team that planned and launched Amazon.in in 2013.
