Jaipur: Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) announced Sunday that the steno skill test conducted in March will be conducted again in May due to an audio glitch during the exam. The exam was conducted in five shifts on March 19-20 but is likely to be conducted in two shifts in May for both Hindi and English typing.
Maj gen (retired) Alok Raj, RSSB chairperson, said, "Missing even a single word or any disturbance can cause a candidate to lose the chance of passing. It was a very sensitive exam where achieving 80% qualifying marks was essential, so it is fair to provide everyone with a level playing field."
During the previous test, candidates complained about disruptions, leading to a commotion at a few test centres. After the exam, candidates complained to the board chairperson that the dictation during the test was not audible to them. This issue persisted on both days.
A total of 7,052 candidates registered for this test, with 47% appearing for it.
