Ahmedabad: The state exam board has announced the common entrance test (CET) results for residential schools and scholarship schemes in Gujarat . From the 5.07 lakh participants on March 22, approximately 70,000 students achieved scores exceeding 50 marks. The initial merit list comprises only those students who surpassed the 50-mark threshold.
The exam facilitated admissions to various institutions including Gyan Shakti residential schools, Gyan Shakti tribal residential schools, Raksha Shakti schools for Class 6, and the Chief Minister Gyan Setu merit scholarship scheme. Additionally, it determined selections for tribal students seeking Class 5 admission under the Gujarat State Tribal Education Society. The provisional answer key was issued on March 25.
Official data reveals that among 5,07,038 participants, 29 students from 28 schools achieved above 90%. Furthermore, 30,400 students from 10,805 schools scored above 60 marks (50%), whilst 84,006 students from 19,863 schools obtained more than 40 marks.
The merit list categorisation includes general category students scoring above 50, SC students above 45, and ST students above 40 marks. Private school students will receive a separate merit list.
More than 3.3 lakh students scored below 40 marks.
The registration for selected students will commence shortly, with final merit lists to be compiled according to government directives. The selection process, based on merit, will determine qualification for govt scholarships and admissions under the specified schemes.
