In the video, Fahadh seems to be in a serious mood- fully involved in his character. However, his pensive space is soon challenged when the film's lead actor Rajinikanth, surprises him from the corner. The two then break into laughter.

About Fahadh Faasil's role in VettaiyanAccording to earlier reports, Fahadh will play a fun role in Vettaiyan, marking a departure from the intense characters he is known to play. It is said that, Rajinikanth will play a police officer fighting for justice, with Fahadh’s character serving as an ally to the superstar in the film directed by TJ Gnanavel.

Besides Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil, the film will star Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others. The cast had recently completed dubbing for their portions in the film.

On the technical front, Vettaiyan has music by Anirudh. This marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth after Darbar, Petta and Jailer . Other members of the technical team include cinematographer SR Kathir and editor Philomin Raj. Vettaiyan is scheduled to hit theatres on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
