Showtime, which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, has several colourful characters from Bollywood producer Raghu Khanna played by Emraan Hashmi, Bollywood stars played by Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran and Mouni Roy, and an industrialist played by Vijay Raaz. The drama filled series about the volatile film industry has had several twists and turns over the course of seven episodes, Zoom asked the team behind the show to share which fictional character they found most fascinating.

Showtime makers discuss favourite characters Speaking with Zoom, the main duo behind the series Showtime, also revealed a bit about the characters they found most entertaining. Creator and writer Sumit Roy shared, "I'll tell you the character that I enjoy the most. That is Rajeev's character [Armaan]. In a sense, he is the most powerful person on this chess board that we have set up in Showtime because he is the superstar. He has a lot of power and can make and break people's careers and fortunes. But he's such a complicated man." He continued, "You don't know what's going on in their head and you just have to figure out what side of the bed did he wake up on today. Is the sun going to shine on me today? Or is it going to be storm clouds? So, he is a very mercurial character and as he is also getting pushed on the back foot in part 2. He is kind of lashing out and changing people's fortunes. It's a great role for an actor with lots of shades and I think Rajeev has done a great job with so many facets. So, I always watch him even when he's being really nasty, I have a smile on my face just because of the way Rajeev has played the character." He said, "I know so many people [who said] after the release, that why is he not there anymore, you should have got him back in flashbacks even more. The way [Shah] played it with his flamboyance was so good. Again, that's also a conviction thing. You don't know which way Viktor is going to go. The way Naseer saab played it was just a joy to watch."
