At least three people were injured after a small plane crashed near the Bowman Field in Louisville in Kentucky on Friday. The aircraft crashed near Breckinridge Lane and Kresge Way in St. Matthews shortly before 6:30 p.m., taking down power poles and traffic lights. According to reports, the plane hit a car. While the two people from the plane were rushed to UofL Hospital, the person from the car was transported to Baptist Hospital. All three are reported to be in critical condition. As per initial investigation, the Piper PA 28 aircraft lost power, following which the pilot attempted to land the plane the road in order to avoid nearby apartments. Investigation was ongoing and people were asked to avoid the area.This is a developing story and will be updated with more information
