As Florida braces for another massive hurricane Milton after hurricane Helene, the Florida government has announced closure of several schools and universities to ensure the safety of the residents. Days after Florida saw massive devastation due to hurricane Helene, weather forecasters have warned against a potential hurricane after tracking a storm formation over the Atlantic. The storm, Milton is expected to strengthen into a hurricane and is likely to hit Florida soon. Taking a note of the gravity of the situation, Florida government authorities have ordered for schools and universities to remain close until further updates regarding the storm Milton come in.

The List Of Schools and Universities Closed Lee County School DistrictSchools closed from Monday to Thursday alongside the suspension of all school activities. Charlotte County Public SchoolsSchools close from Monday to ThursdaySchool issues statement regarding the incoming storm and reiterates on prioritizing students' and staffs' well being and safety. Collier County Public SchoolsThere has been no announcement of any closure. DeSoto County School DistrictSchools closed from October 7 to October 10. Besides, the school released a statement stating that apart from the closures, other school officials are expected to come to schools to prepare the school buildings ahead of the storm. Glades County SchoolsSchools are closed on October 8 and October 9. The closure decision comes after the updates received from Glades County Emergency Operations Center regarding the incoming storm, Milton. Florida Gulf Coast University Students and staff are supposed to attend school from home on Monday. Apart from this, the school will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. University of South FloridaUniversity officials decide to go for remote operations on Monday. Besides, the university remains closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
