White the 2024 US elections is largely focused around two candidates, GOP's Donald Trump and the Democratic Party's Kamala Harris, the impact of third-party candidates is perhaps understated. Among the key third-party candidates in this election are Jill Stein of the Green Party and Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party. Despite all the attention being focused on the two main candidates, Green Party's Jill Stein seems to be making an impact in some states, drawing away voters from both parties towards her environmentalist agenda. So, how is Jill Stein impacting the elections? It is hard to say how Stein is doing in the polls as they are being cast as of now. However, pre-election surveys offer a good - and perhaps only - reliable way to predict the impact of Jill Stein and her Green Party. Here's a breakdown of how Stein and the Green Party have polled in the seven swing states that will likely decide the outcome of the US elections. The source of this data is a poll done by the Brazilian agency AtlasIntel which surveyed voters from the swing states between October 30 and October 31. Arizona: 1.1% of voters preferred Jill Stein in the Trump-leaning swing state. Georgia: Around 2% of voters preferred the Green Party in the high-stake swing state of Georgia. Michigan: In Michigan, which is seeing significant disillusionment among voters over the Biden administration's support for Israel in the war on the Gaza Strip, saw nearly 1.7% of voters vote for Hill Stein.Nevada: In Nevada, which is also closely tied, 1.2% of voters voted for the third-party candidates There was no information on the polling only favour of Stein.North Carolina: In North Carolina, which is a strongly Republican state, just 0.7% voted for the Green Party. Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania, the ultimate swing state with 19 electoral college votes, saw only 1% vote for Stein, as per the Atlas Intel polls. Wisconsin: Only 0.8% voted for Jill Stein in Wisconsin, as per the Atlas Intel poll. Also read: The percentage of votes received by Jill Stein and the Green Party is small, but is significant, especially in a tight contest like the one in 2024. In the 2016 elections, Hilary Clinton won the popular vote over Trump by just 2.1%. No wonder, the Democrats have been spending a significant amount of money in the last few days before Election Day to persuade voters to not vote for third-party candidates.
