M25 traffic LIVE: Vehicle fire prompts huge delays stretching near Heathrow Airport

A vehicle fire prompted traffic disruption on the M25 on Thursday morning. The incident brought traffic to a standstill on the M25 anticlockwise from J16 (M40) to J15 (M4). Congestion was also reported up to J17 (Maple Cross), back past Heathrow Airport and to J13 (Staines).

Traffic monitoring site Inrix has said: "M25 anticlockwise blocked, stationary traffic due to vehicle fire from J16 M40 to J15 M4. Congestion to J17 (Maple Cross) and onlookers back past Heathrow to J13 (Staines). Since 10:45."
