The 1% Club viewers were left astonished as a single question in the latest episode wiped out a staggering 21 contestants.
The beloved quiz programme, which is presented by comedian Lee Mack, challenges participants to tackle a series of questions - ranging from a 90% question that the majority would answer correctly to a complicated 1% puzzle that only a handful can solve.
However, during Saturday evening's edition of the ITV programme (October 18), many believed the 70% question proved more challenging than typical.
One viewer took to X and described it as a "massacre" after 21 of the 100 participants answered incorrectly, whilst another suggested it was "the hardest" 70% question they had witnessed, reports Bristol Live.

Contestants faced the challenge: "What replaces the question mark in this sentence?"
A sequence of words appeared - "Hot, hard, small, cold, easy" - with host Lee explaining that competitors needed to determine what followed from the options "Big", "fast" and "slow."
The correct response was "big", yet it caught numerous quizzers off guard.
Once all had responded, the contestants' lights illuminated or dimmed to show whether they remained in the competition, leaving Lee visibly stunned upon realising the extent of eliminations.
Viewers at home found themselves equally baffled, with one posting on X (formerly Twitter): "21 people wow."
"That was so hard," remarked another, whilst someone else confessed: "Struggled on this one so I just guessed A. Big sigh of relief."
"That has to be the hardest 70% question I've ever seen!!!!" exclaimed one viewer.
"That was a massacre of a question," another chimed in.
A different viewer shared a GIF of a baffled child, admitting: "Brain since the 70% question."
"That was a hard 70% - still in though," commented another fan who apparently managed to get it right, while someone else noted on the platform: "Not easy questions so far tonight."
"I'm out on this one," declared another viewer, while another agreed that it was a "quite tricky" question.
