Susanna Reid has shared that she will be taking a lengthy break from ITV's Good Morning Britain. The 54-year-old breakfast show host, who often works alongside Ed Balls, shared that she would not be back on screens for some time.

At the end of Thursday's episode, Ed, 58, said: "Thank you Susanna, we will see you in a couple of weeks time." Susanna confirmed her absence as she said: "Yes, see you in a couple of weeks. I am going to go and spend some time off. I will be back, do not fear. Good Morning Britain, though, is of course back tomorrow at 6am."

It's not yet been confirmed who will be replacing Susanna on the breakfast show while she spends time with her family, though it'll likely be one of her fellow news anchors, Ranvir Singh, Kate Garraway or Charlotte Hawkins.

Susanna joined Good Morning Britain in 2014, following appearances on Breakfast, Sunday Morning Live and The Andrew Marr Show. She usually presents the show between Monday and Wednesday with a number of different co-stars.

The veteran TV host faced backlash from ITV fans today as she ripping into with her co-stars. It comes as the Duchess released some jams as part of her As Ever range yesterday (April 2), with some of her pricey products already selling out.

On Good Morning Britain, Susanna said: "Although I think they are technically labelled fruit spread," as . Pointing out the pricing, shared that honey is £22, while Ed stated: "What? It's £11 for a jar of jam? £11? How much is that per spread?"

His co-star then picked holes in the products as she said: "They look quite small, these jars of jam. But we reported yesterday, we were talking about this with Lorraine, frankly they are historic objects, of a royal dimension. Who wouldn't go and buy them?"

But fans at home were less than impressed with the discussion, as they felt like the were poking fun at Meghan. One fan wrote on X/Twitter: "Do these 'adults' realise how pathetic they all sound?!

"Digging her out for products which are out of stock so she clearly knows what she doing. Dropping a few 'good for her' quotes in here and there, like school yard bullies! #GMB."
