defender was not named in England's squad for the Nations League matches against Greece and Finland. Despite being fit and travelling to Porto for the Red Devils' tie, Maguire did not make the 25-man squad.

However, there is a lifeline for Kyle Walker, the Manchester City veteran who was overlooked last month.

Dominic Solanke, the Tottenham striker, is the only fresh face in this squad as interim manager Lee Carsley gives him a chance seven years after his last international appearance. Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden are all fit and have returned to the squad.

Crystal Palace's creative midfielder Eberechi Eze, along with Jarrod Bowen, James Maddison and Tino Livramento, have also been left out.
