Emma Raducanu was backed to scare world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka at Wimbledon after a "sensational" third round win. The British No.1 vanquished former champion Marketa Vondrousova 6-3 6-3 in a clinical display on Centre Court.
"I feel amazing," said Raducanu. "I think that was just a really great match. I think that was one of the best matches I've played in a long time, which I'm very proud of. I think I executed really well today. I'm just so happy to have that level."
She will now face tournament favourite and US Open champion Sabalenka tomorrow. Double US Open champion and BBC analyst Tracy Austin said: "That was the best I have seen her play since the US Open. Her tennis was sensational
"The return of serve was phenomenal. I would say she has a chance to beat Sabalenka if Emma plays that way."
Raducanu said: "She is No.1 in the world right now, so dominant on the tour and has won literally everything so and it is going to be a really difficult match. When you play an opponent like her you know you have to play well but I guess there is no pressure on me at all in the next round!

"You want to play the best. You are going to have to play them at some point if you want to win one of these tournaments. Even though it's early in the tournament, I'm looking forward to the opportunity."
The 2023 champion Vondrousova said: "I think she was playing amazing tennis. I couldn't do much. She was crushing me in the rallies, so there wasn't much I could do."
