New Delhi: India's famous industrialist Ratan Tata died at the age of 86 in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. He was ill for a long time and his condition remained critical. Many leaders around the world have condoled his death. Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu expressed grief by sending a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, "My friend Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I and many Israeli citizens are saddened by the demise of Ratan Tata. He was a great son of India and was a pioneer in strengthening India-Israel relations. Please convey my condolences to his family."
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti also expressed condolences and said that India has lost a great and kind person. He told that when he was appointed ambassador to India, the first congratulatory message he received was from Ratan Tata. French President Emmanuel Macron said that Ratan Tata's vision was dedicated to development and progress. He took the business relations between India and France to a new height. He also said that France has lost a true friend of India, who will always be remembered for his humanitarian work.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft founder Bill Gates also paid tribute to Ratan Tata. Pichai said that his last meeting with Ratan Tata was during a discussion about Waymo. At the same time, Bill Gates described him as a great leader with a vision and promoting the industry. He said that Ratan Tata's humanitarian thinking and the work done by him will always be appreciated.
