Liam Payne spent his final days documenting moments with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, on social media, before his tragic death at the age of 31.
The former One Direction singer passed away after falling from several stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Authorities are investigating the cause, and an autopsy will be conducted.
Earlier in October, Payne attended Niall Horan's concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, while traveling with Cassidy. His last social media posts, shared on Snapchat, featured videos taken at a friend’s house.
In one of his final posts, four days before his death, Payne wrote “Lovely day in Argentina,” capturing himself enjoying coffee and breakfast with Cassidy at 1 p.m. Another post showed the couple posing for a selfie with the caption “quality time” and a heart emoji.
In a video, Payne mentioned their plans to go horse riding, possibly playing polo again, joking about the physical toll the sport takes on him. "Polo out of everything I’ve ever done sports-wise, it's so hard to do," he shared, noting that his back and neck were sore from playing.
He also expressed concern for his followers affected by Hurricane Milton, calling it a "scary thing to watch from far away."
In another light-hearted post, Payne teased his upcoming Halloween costume, writing "Halloween costume idea: Forrest Gump" alongside a photo of himself gazing into the distance. He concluded his social media updates with videos showing artwork at a friend’s house.
