'Sophisticated' Boden dress shoppers want to 'wear every day' is now 15% off with code

When it comes to our wardrobe, many shoppers have dresses for work, and outfits for play. But fashion fans have found a ‘sophisticated’ and ‘stretchy’ dress that lends itself as easily to the office as it does evening events and weekends, making it the perfect all rounder.

Boden is known for its classic British style and timeless, high quality everyday pieces. And it must be said that their Imogen Collared Jersey Dress is no exception, with customers tempted to ‘wear it every day’.

Priced at £89, the dress is currently available in navy, green and black, however past reviews suggest it’s previously been available in other patterns and colours. Some shoppers have loved it so much, they’ve snapped it up in several shades thanks to its ‘beautifully flattering’ cut.

The dress is made from a comfortable cotton-blend jersey fabric, but is smartened up with a shaped collar, detachable belt, long sleeves and bias-cut skirt that falls to a midi length. It comes in a wide range of sizes from 4-22, and takes its inclusivity one step further with three lengths to choose from.

And for a limited time, customers can get 15% off new styles at Boden with the code MY7P. That takes the price of the dress down to £75.65, saving over £14 on the RRP.

The dress is similar to one worn by Lady Victoria Starmer last week as part of President Donald Trump’s state visit. While the exact label hasn’t been confirmed, the Prime Minister’s wife appeared to wear the Casey Draped Jersey Midi Dress by Reiss. Originally £158, the dress is now £52 in the sale, with the camel version being £42 - however, both shades are selling out quickly.

Alternatively, White Stuff has 20% off a range of styles at the moment, including their Megan Embroidered Jersey Midi Dress. Once £79, it’s now down to £63.20 and features an all-over self-coloured embroidery for a touch of texture.

But it’s the Boden dress that’s generated the most compliments from shoppers, generating more than 200 reviews, giving it a 4.5 star rating. One shopper said: “This dress is stunning, so sophisticated and because it's stretchy I can buy my usual size 14 which fits perfectly instead of having to size up for larger busted ladies.”

Another added: “Beautifully flattering dress. So pretty, I bought two in different colours, the pink and the striped. The colours of both are rich and saturated and the fabric is such a great weight you don't need to wear a slip underneath. Wore the pink for the first time today and one of my female coworkers said I looked radiant in it. Thinking I might wear it every day.”

“Just throw on and go,” wrote a third. “Took my normal size. The material was substantial and draped perfectly. V neck wasn't too low.”

However, some shoppers haven’t been a fan of the slightly puffed sleeves. One said: “While I liked the deep colour, slim lines, and flow of the fabric, I was surprised that shoulders were as pouffy as they were.”

“There's nothing wrong with the dress,” another added, “more a personal dislike of sleeves gathered at the top making them look slightly puffed/like shoulder pads and expensive for jersey.”

However, most people have enjoyed the dress, commenting: “I ordered the navy in my usual size and it fits perfectly. Waist and v-neck are proportioned just right. I don't miss the pockets as it's really flattering on the hips without them (wouldn't want to add bulk there). Super wearable for work or meeting a friend for lunch. The fabric is soft and hangs beautifully. A keeper.”
