Police have issued an update in the search for a missing woman in Cheshire. Officers have urged members of the public to come forward if they have any information relating to the disappearance of Rachel Booth, 38, from Northwich.
Superintendent Paul Hughes, of Cheshire Constabulary, said police are becoming“increasingly concerned for her welfare”. He said cops are “currently following a number of enquiries” as part of an investigation which has been assisted by an underwater search team and sniffer dogs.
The top cop said: “As part of our investigation, our officers and partner agencies, including the underwater search team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting enquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to, and we would like to thank local businesses for their patience and understanding while these are currently ongoing.”

He continued: “Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts. We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK.”
Rachel is described as being around five feet nine inches tall, with blonde hair and a slim build. She is believed to be wearing a black top and black leggings.
She went missing in the early hours of July 19 after she was last seen by family in Barnton, Northwich. She was then sighted at Sandiway Garage on the A556 at around 3:50am on Saturday morning. Police think she may have gone to the Oakmere area of Delamere, a rural part of Cheshire.
The Wild Shore Delamere Park watersports centre said in a statement it is closed "due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area".
The statement added: "This incident is unrelated to Wild Shore - however we wish to help as much as possible - so we will be closing the site until further notice."
Anyone with information is encouraged to get in touch with Cheshire Police by calling 101 or on the force's website quoting IML-2136439.
