Piers Morgan claimed the margin of was "ridiculous" and a draw would've been the right result. The 35-year-old secured the win courtesy of the judges, who all scored the fight 116-112.
The pair's feud dated back years with the origin of the fight going back to the 1990s, when their fathers fought in two epic contests that captured the country's attention. Neither man could find the pivotal knockout punch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the fight going the distance.
Eubank Jnr had father, Chris Eubank Snr, , and he extended his record to 35 wins in 38 fights. Benn meanwhile had to digest a loss for the first time in 24 professional fights.
The judges clearly felt there was an obvious winner, but Morgan was among those shocked. He said on social media: "What? All three judges said it was 116-112 ?!!!! That’s ridiculous. Fight was way closer than that, a draw would have been fairer result."
Matchroom's boss was equally surprised to see Eubank Jnr win by such a clear margin, but paid tribute to Benn. The 28-year-old previously failed a drugs test and was jeered by sections of the crowd, but Hearn claimed he "won the hearts of everybody".

He said: "I don't see Chris Eubank winning that fight by four rounds at all but forget that - unbelievable respect for both men. I could not be prouder of Conor Benn for what he has been through and the heart he has showed. Nigel Benn was the people's champion, tonight Conor Benn became the people's champion. He won the hearts of everybody who tuned in."
Eubank Snr was able to claim victory over Conor Benn back in the 1990s and his son claimed the they "upheld the family name" by securing the win. He said: "First of all, I thank the one above. I knew I could do that, I just needed someone to bring that out of me and I didn't think that he would be the guy to do that.
"The fact our fathers did it years ago brings out a different spirit into you and that's what we showed here tonight. I'm happy to have this man [Eubank Sr] back with me. We upheld the family name - onwards and upwards."
Benn confessed that his lack of recent action was perhaps a reason for his loss. His last fight had come in February 2024 and he refused to offer up any excuses but knew it was a close run contest.
He said: "Fourteen months out of the ring played a factor, that would be the only thing - inactivity. I felt like it was a close fight. I'm not going to say 'yeah I should have won that', I've got to watch it back. It was close. I stayed on the ropes maybe a bit too long and he worked harder towards the end. A massive thank you to all my supporters who came out, it was some homecoming."
