Newsboy's horseracing tips for Tuesday's four meetings, including Fakenham Nap

CHEMICAL WARFARE (4.50, Nap) is fancied to follow up his recent victory at Sedgefield last month by overcoming seven rivals in the Norfolk National Handicap Chase at Fakenham on Tuesday afternoon.

The eight-year-old, trained by David Pipe, returned to form dropped in grade and on good ground when landing that handicap over 3m2f by half a length from Jannie Candlish’s Hostile Hostelier.

My selection was always going well and smoothly took the lead just before the last fence.

The son of Fame And Glory would have won more comfortably under today’s jockey Jack Tudor but for idling in front late on, and it is worth noting that he has won seven out of the last eight races he has contested on today’s likely good going.

At Fakenham, CLAIM DU BRIZAIS (3.15, nb) could take all the beating in the Racing TV Mares’ Maiden Hurdle over two and a half miles.

The Dan Skelton-trained five-year-old mare is course proven, having won a two-mile bumper on the Norfolk track last time out in March on her second run after a wind op.

The daughter of Beaumec De Houelle is expected to improve significantly over hurdles and up in trip under Harry Skelton.
