A resident has shared their fears as their neighbour continually places random, creepy items on the lawn of their house. The anonymous member of the public shared the fear they have of their troublesome neighbour and were at a loss of how to deal with them. The creepy items left on the lawn has caused concern, with some suggesting action must be taken.
A post to Reddit saw the concerned resident share what had been happening. According to them, their next door neighbour had been sneaking onto their lawn in the middle of the night to plant strange objects.
It seems they've now hit their breaking point, and are looking for a way to deal with the strange neighbour. They wrote: "My neighbour keeps sneaking into my yard at night and leaving things behind.

"When I first moved into this place I thought it was a quiet street. A couple of months later I started noticing little objects near my back steps. A lighter. A cracked mug. A keychain shaped like a dolphin. I figured it was kids messing around and didn’t think much of it.
"One evening I came home early and actually caught my next door neighbour crouched by my back door. He had a small glass jar full of coins and was about to set it down. When I asked him what he was doing, he stammered something about wanting to give me a gift and rushed back through the fence."
They have since told the neighbour to never step foot on their property again, but that has only increased the strange encounters.
The resident continued: "I told him directly never to step onto my property again. Since then I’ve found more items.
"A candle. A folded note with nothing but my name on it. A seashell. I set up cameras and saw him slipping in with a flashlight just after midnight.
"Police told me they can only do something if he damages property or makes a direct threat. Meanwhile I am stuck knowing someone is creeping into my yard whenever he feels like it. I have reinforced the fence and I am keeping every recording in case it escalates."
People have since pitched in with some unique ideas on how to deal with the creepy neighbour.
One person suggested: "Hire someone to stay up all night and hide in the bushes dressed like a clown. When he sneaks onto your property, they come charging out at him, laughing like a lunatic and lunging at him with a balloon sword."
Another, more reasonable suggestion, reads: "I would suggest cameras and motion activated floodlights. Then he won’t be able to leave his little gifts under the cover of darkness. Keep a serious diary about everything that he’s doing.
"It sounds like stalking to me. Make sure that you have serious locks on all your doors and windows. Maybe even consider getting a dog as an early warning system if you like dogs and you’re able to have them."
