Miranda Hart's husband has finally been revealed after her secret wedding.

stunned fans this week when she She dropped the bombshell news while on promoting her autobiography - which is titled I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest.

Fans have been desperate for details about the man who stole her heart - and have been amused by details that the comedy star has shared about him. She revealed she has pet names for her man, explaining she refers to him as The Boy from Bristol or, slightly less glamorously, The Mould Man.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, however, more concrete details have emerged about the man in question - including when they met and what his career is. And instead of being a simple 'mould man', it appears Mr Miranda Hart has a career in the construction profession.

According to The Sun, Miranda's husband is called Richard Fairs, he is aged 60, and the pair have been married since July 2023. It is claimed the couple struck up their romance during lockdown - and they also enjoyed a Hawaii themed wedding reception after they tied-the-knot.

More specifically, they are said to have swapped vows at St Peter and St Paul church in Hambledon, Hants, on 6 July last year. Richard's job has been revealed as a surveyor - a part of the construction industry workforce who give advice on the design and maintenance of buildings.

He is said to hail from Bristol, and reportedly owns a company called The Building Consultancy. It has been reported he oversaw the removal of some mould in Miranda's home in 2020 and that this is how they met.

In her book, Miranda gushed about her husband's "fine features" and "salt and pepper grey hair". - while keeping concrete details about him out of the volume. She wrote: "I met my best friend and the love of my life who brings me more silliness, laughter, joy, support, care and safety than I thought possible in a person, because I lost my house due to mould illness and he was the building surveyor on the house remediation project.

"Yes my love was Mr Mould Man/ My Mr Mould Man/ The Boy/ The Boy from Bristol/ The Boyfriend. I haven't been entirely honest with you, he's not my boyfriend, he's my husband. We got married when I was 51."

While his name is now newly known, Richard's face was uncovered earlier this week as snaps emerged of him and Miranda cycling in London. He was later photographed leaving her home wearing a business-ready shirt.

Following her marriage bombshell, Miranda has thanked her fans for all the warm messages they have sent her. She addressed fans this week, telling them: "I just wanted to say thank you so much for the lovely messages. I’ve got my best friend to do life with and it’s wonderful.”
