Max Verstappen was left raging at Lewis Hamilton after a scary near miss during qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. Both drivers turned the air blue over the radio as they reacted to the moment they almost crashed at high speed on the tight Monte Carlo street track.
It happened during Q1 on Saturday when Verstappen was on his final flying lap of that part of the session. But the Dutchman had to abandon it within seconds as he came across Hamilton's Ferrari moving slowly at turn three.
Verstappen had to take evasive action and, as a result, abandoned his lap. And he quickly jumped on the radio to make it clear how angry he was about it, with an X-rated message to his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase to complain about the seven-time champion.

"F*** whoa! Mate! F*** Lewis," he fumed. And then the TV broadcasts showed that Hamilton had also been left swearing over the radio, though his ire was directed at his Ferrari race engineer Riccardo Adami for giving him some unclear information.
Adami had warned him that Verstappen was coming fast, three seconds behind him on track. But then he sent a second message straight after to tell the Brit that the was actually moving slowly – only for it to then roar past around the outside.
"Sorry, he's slowing down behind, watch your mirrors," Adami told Hamilton. And when it became clear to the driver that he had just impeded Verstappen, he replied: "You said he was slowing down mate! F*** man."
