Two killers who executed a DPD driver and "chopped" him in the head with an axe in broad daylight have been jailed for the cartel-style murder.
Sehajpal Singh and Mehakdeep Singh have been handed a life sentence for the sickening crime. It comes after Aurman Singh, from Smethwick, was ambushed by a group of armed thugs wearing masks.
Aurman, 23, was targeted by the twisted gang in Berwick Avenue, Shrewsbury, shortly after 1pm on August 21, 2023. The evil mob attacked the worker with an axe, club, wooden stave, metal bar, hockey stick, shovel, knife and bat.
He attempted to run away from the group, however, they had caught up with him "within seconds". A court previously heard that he "didn't stand a chance" as he was set upon by the gang and then "left to die in a pool of blood" on the side of the road.

Sehajpal Singh, 26, and Mehakdeep Singh, 24, denied a single count of murder. Jurors unanimously convicted them of murder following a trial at Stafford Crown Court in March, .
Both killers were today (Friday, April 11) jailed for life, with minimum terms of 28 years each. Their trial came after four men - Arshdeep Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Shivdeep Singh and Manjot Singh - were last year convicted of Aurman's murder.
A fifth man, Sukhmandeep Singh, was convicted of manslaughter. He acted as the "inside man" at the DPD depot in Stoke-on-Trent where Aurman worked and passed information on to the other killers.
They were locked up for more than 120 years in April 2024. His killers drove to the scene in an Audi and before "laying in wait" for their victim.
Aurman was "chopped in the head" with an axe, which fractured his skull and "exposed" his brain. He was "clubbed" over the head with a golf club with such force that its head broke off and the shaft was bent.
A knife wound to his back also cut through one of his ribs, jurors heard during the trial. Sehajpal armed himself with the shovel during the onslaught, while Mehakdeep had the hockey stick.
Both killers managed to flee the UK in the aftermath of Aurman's murder, initially making their way to France before settling in Austria.
West Mercia Police's major investigation unit eventually tracked them to the small area of Hohenzell, where they were arrested in May 2024. Sehajpal and Mehakdeep were then extradited back to the UK to stand trial for murder.
The men - of no fixed abode - were living with convicted murderer Arshdeep in Shaw Road, Tipton, at the time of the killing.
