A simple hack could save you a fortune as a viral TikTok shows how you can make your very own Nando's at home.

The restaurant chain specialising in varyingly spicy chicken dishes has delighted foodies for years and with a range of sauce products in stores, it is easier than ever to make your own at home. A pulled chicken pot recipe has delighted members of the public, with the viral TikTok showing just how easy it is to do it yourself.

A post from @thisisplanetfood revealed the ease of making the dish, dubbed "Slow Cooker 'Nando's Style' Pulled Chicken," with a recipe filled with spice and shredded chicken.

An easy to follow recipe was left in the description for Nando's lovers to follow, with suggestions on what spices and seasoning to use, as well as a cream cheese addition to the six-hour pot recipe. It reads: "Add 4 chicken breasts to a slow cooker and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of peri peri seasoning.

"Add 100ml of peri peri sauce, 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, 1 chicken stock cube, 50g of cream cheese and 4 cloves of diced garlic. Give a stir to combine then whack the lid on. Cook on high for 4 hours / low for 6-8 hours. Take the lid off and shred the chicken. Scatter over the chopped parsley/coriander and serve - we served ours on Nando's garlic bread with halloumi, chilli jam and macho peas!"

Those who tried the recipe were delighted with the results and overjoyed with using the slow cooker. One wrote: "I live for slow cookers you can literally make anything." Another user asked what the cream cheese was added for, to which @thisisplanetfood replied: "Make it creamy." Other users are looking for alternates to the 50g of cream cheese, but were told it may not taste as nice.

"Can you use fresh single cream?" one user added. "Read it wrong and picked up cream instead of cream cheese." Recipe expert @thisisplanetfood replied: "Try it! But it probably won't thicken quite the same. Should still be yum though!"
