A former star has transformed their life and has retrained in a completely new career. Actress was axed from the soap opera
However, while the 47-year-old admits that while she misses her time on the show, she has entered a very different chapter and now works a regular job helping other people. Sadly though, her new job will never reach the levels of passion she had for her acting career.
Taking to social media, Stephanie revealed she is now a life coach after being asked by fans what she has been doing for work since being axed by the soap. "I thought 'good point'," she said. She added: "What work do I do? The first thing that came to my head was 'I'm an actor'. That's all I've known for the last 30 years and when I lost my job last year, I knew I would be in a place of vulnerability.

"Because it wasn't guaranteed that I was going to get another role and go onto the next project and the next project. It's really hard out there. It's not easy. And that's one of the reasons why I stayed in for so long, because it was security and I was doing what I loved every single day. And I didn't even question it."
Stephanie added: "So when I became vulnerable, I thought 'What else can I do that would give me purpose? And something that I was passionate about?' I've dealt with a lot of mental health in my life and when I decided to train as a life coach, I thought that this would help me in that respect and it did. I was my first client.
"All the tools that I've learnt that's helped me become a better version of myself – well I hope I have anyway, I think I'm just a work in progress, I think everybody is. I wouldn't say I've got it all figured out.
"There are things that I've learnt and that's why I developed the hand book, it's a six-week reset that can help anyone who's feeling a bit stuck. Just to the point, tips and tools. It's not about that. I just wanted to jump on and be a bit vulnerable, I suppose."
Stephanie continued: "I do have days where I'm sad and I miss it and I've realised that is what I do... I am 100% focused on [it], I'm passionate about [it], but it won't ever come close to my passion of being an actor. So, yeah, when someone asks what I do, I'm many things and I think that's ok. And I think it's ok to have as many strings to your bow as possible to be successful in this ."
Last year, Stephanie told fans that she was in complete shock after she was called in for a chat with bosses and told that she was being axed, despite being the only original cast member left on the soap. She explained it was "gutting."

Speaking to fans she said: "I was given the chance to say I had chosen to quit the show to spare me any embarrassment of revealing that I've been axed, which was very kind but I don't want to lie to the fans who have followed Cindy's journey for nearly 3 decades as I believe they know she nor I would ever have left the show by choice.
"Hollyoaks is in my blood and I have loved every minute of walking in Cindy's heels. I would like to add that I totally understand all shows evolve, so whilst I cannot hide my devastation I can only express my gratitude for my time on the show and respect the producers decision with no anger just sadness."
