There's months of twists and turns ahead on Emmerdale it seems, amid Mack Boyd's fate finally being confirmed.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Emma Atkins shared all on filming the huge episode that aired on Thursday night. With an emotional hallucination sequences and then Charity Dingle's turmoil with the race on to save her missing husband Mack, Emma has shared all about the moving scenes.
Her character Charity finally realised missing Mack had been kidnapped by killer John, and by the end of the episode she was reunited with him. It was touch and go as to whether Mack would be okay, while hints at the end of the episode may have confirmed he will be fine in the fallout.
That said, actress Emma has hinted there's more twists and turns ahead, while she also addressed her character's surrogacy drama and promised "brilliant" months ahead. Talking about filming Thursday's episode, she told us: "The scenes where she goes in search and the police tell her to get back, and working with Frank Laverty who plays DS Jordan was brilliant.

"He is such a phenomenal actor so it was a privilege to film with him. In the dream sequence I had to lie there so still for them to do this crane shot above and they’re beautiful scenes. It was quite emotional because at this point we didn't know if Mack was going to survive or if the police would find him in time.
"It was such a knife-edge moment, and it was thrilling to be a part of that episode." Emma confessed there were more "twists and turns" ahead though now that John was exposed.
As for Mack's fate, Emma spoke of filming the moment he wakes up and Charity realises he's going to be okay. She told us: "It was touch and go. It's an enormous relief to Charity.
"She is by his bedside, like a vigil and she's hoping he will pull through after the torture and the horrendous experience he has been through." As for John, she added: "The truth always prevails!"

But the drama isn't over for Charity and Mack, with Emma teasing there's plenty more surprises ahead with the surrogacy plot. Charity agreed to be a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden, and when Charity learned she was pregnant it was believed the baby was Sarah's.
But flashbacks confirmed she slept with her ex Ross Barton after a row with Mack, and now Charity doesn't know if it's actually her and Ross' child she is carrying. Emma told us: "There’s so much more on the horizon and so it is gonna be a brilliant few months for Charity and Mack."
