A British couple plunged to their deaths after their Ferrari veered off a mountain road and went into a river.
The pair were found dead by rescuers in the mangled wreckage of the vehicle near Boca de Huergano, northern . The victims have only been identified by their ages, 78 and 58, at this time.
According to reports, they were travelling with a group of around 20 other Ferrari owners as part of rally. Their licence plates were also from the UK.
The motor enthusiasts had arrived in the city of Leon the day before the tragedy. Shocking images captured the aftermath of the which showed the damaged car partly submerged in the Yuso River.

Emergency services, including firefighters, raced to the scene to find the the vehicle had been flipped on its roof. Rescue teams spent more than six hours trying to recover the couple, who were trapped in the car.
Before the couple could be retrieved, firefighters had to cut their way through thick foliage to get to them.
Local commentator Jose Antonio Gutierrez Sampedro said: "A Ferrari 488 with 700 horsepower needs to be handled carefully.
"It seems the couple were 78 and 58 years old. Maybe the driver suffered a medical emergency. Such a sad way to lose your life."
