Reason for feeling cold
You may catch cold due to lack of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 plays an important role in making red blood cells and circulating oxygen throughout the body. Due to lack of this vitamin, blood is not able to circulate properly throughout the body. This is the reason that lack of this vitamin can cause lack of blood in the body. Lack of vitamin B12 can often cause cold.
How do you feel cold?
We first feel cold on the skin. Because of this, our hair also stands up. Sometimes fingers also become numb. Our skin is the first to feel the increase or decrease in temperature. Thermo-receptors nerves present just below our skin send a message of feeling cold to the brain in the form of waves. Its level and intensity may vary among people. The waves emanating from the skin go to the hypothalamus of the brain. The hypothalamus helps in balancing the internal temperature of the body and the environment. Due to the process of maintaining this balance, we get goosebumps and the muscles also start shrinking.
Hypothermia causes excessive cold
The effect of feeling cold is first felt on the skin. When the nerves present below the skin send a message of feeling cold to the brain, the brain prevents the temperature inside the body from falling. The brain sends a message to all the organs of the body that the temperature is falling. The brain orders all the internal and external organs of the body to maintain the temperature. After that all the muscles of the body slow down their speed of work. Our body cannot tolerate too low a temperature. According to experts, if the temperature drops too low, many organs of the body stop working. Sometimes a person even dies due to multi-organ failure. Feeling too cold is called hypothermia. It can even lead to death.
Lack of vitamin B12 in the body
Due to lack of vitamin B12 in the body, problems like vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea can occur. Lack of this vitamin can badly affect your nervous system and your gut health.
