For Alcaraz, history is on the line. A win would make him just the fifth man in history after Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon three years in a row. It would also push him ahead of Rafael Nadal, who has two Wimbledon titles to his name.
On the other side, Sinner is chasing his first Wimbledon crown and looking to cement his place among the elite. Having already claimed his maiden Grand Slam title earlier, a win on Sunday would be a defining moment in his career.
