Anupamaa Fame Gaurav Khanna Wins Celebrity MasterChef India, Beats Tejasswi Prakash

Actor Gaurav Khanna, best known for his role as Anuj Kapadia in Anupamaa, has won the title of Celebrity MasterChef India after four months of intense competition, during which he prepared a variety of delicacies to impress judges Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Farah Khan. He beat strong contender Tejasswi Prakash in the finale, while the top 5 also included Nikki Tamboli, Rajiv Adatia, and Faisal Shaikh.

Gaurav's journey on Celebrity MasterChef has been nothing short of inspiring. During the finale episode, his close friend, actor Hussain Kuwajerwala, arrived to support him after his family couldn't be present.

Recently, the actor grabbed eyeballs when he was accused of copying Swiss chef Dives Josh’s dessert. In one of the recent episodes, Gaurav presented his show-stopping, honey-dripping dessert in a wine glass, which left the judges speechless and thoroughly impressed.

Social media users pointed out that the dessert closely resembled a creation by Swiss chef Dives Josh, which he had previously posted on his Instagram.

On Tuesday, Michelin-star chef Vikas responded to the plagiarism allegations and backed the actor on his Instagram story: "For all those commenting on the brilliant dish made by Gaurav Khanna, please let me know which chef created it first in the world. Meringue dripping cones have been done for decades. It was the overall flavour profile and presentation that shook us."

In response, Gaurav re-shared Vikas’ Instagram story and added peace emojis to it.

Earlier on the show, Gaurav revealed that he is colour-blind and faces difficulties distinguishing colours during plating and preparation.

It was incredibly ignorant on the judges' part, especially Farah's. I'm not saying he deserves sympathy for his weakness, he himself never sought it. However, that doesn’t give them the right to mock him or react the way they did.
