Premanand Ji Maharaj on Karwa Chauth: Karwa Chauth is considered extremely important for married women. On this occasion, married women observe a fast without water for their husbands' long life, good health, and a happy married life. This fast is considered a symbol of love, devotion, and trust between husband and wife. Religious belief holds that observing the Karwa Chauth fast brings prosperity and maintains sweetness in marital relationships.

Recently, a video of Vrindavan's renowned saint, Premanand Ji Maharaj, has become a topic of discussion on social media, in which he has made special remarks about Karwa Chauth. Let's learn more about it...
What did Maharaj say about the connection between Karwa Chauth and death?
In the viral video, a woman asks Premanand Ji Maharaj, "What is the purpose of women observing the Karwa Chauth fast?" In response to this question, Maharaj smiled and replied, "These are all folk traditions. No fast or ritual can prevent a person's death; whatever is destined by fate will happen." Maharaj maintained that a person's age and time of death are predetermined, and no amount of worship or rituals can change them.
Fasting is a small contribution.
The woman then asked, "What is the benefit of fasting?" Maharaj clarified, "Fasting or rituals are a small contribution. If a crisis or illness is about to occur in a person's life, a fast can mitigate the effects of that calamity. But if the time of death is already fixed, no fast or chanting can prevent it."
He added, "If death is only becoming inevitable but not yet confirmed, chanting the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra can avert that crisis. However, if fate has already determined death, no remedy can avert it."

God's plan is unchangeable.
In the video, Premanand Ji Maharaj says that both birth and death are God's plan. No human being or magic can change that divine plan.
