On this day, Lord Dhanvantari (the god of Ayurveda) and Lord Kubera are worshipped. On this day, Dhanvantari emerged from the churning of the ocean with the pot of nectar, and therefore, the festival of Dhanteras is considered a symbol of health and stability of wealth. Chhoti Diwali/Narak Chaturdashi 2025
Chhoti Diwali or Narak Chaturdashi is celebrated on the second day of the Diwali festival. This year, the festival will be celebrated on Sunday, October 19th. Every year, this festival is celebrated on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight of the month of Kartika. On Choti Diwali, Lord Krishna and Yamaraj are worshipped. Ganesh-Lakshmi Pujan 2025
