Apara Ekadashi 2025: In the scriptures, Ekadashi of Jyeshtha Krishna Paksha is called Apara Ekadashi. It is also called Bhadrakali Ekadashi or Jalkrida Ekadashi. “Apara” means one who gives immense fruits. On this day, the worship of Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Durga along with Lord Vishnu, Maa Bhadrakali is considered to be especially virtuous. People who observe Apara Ekadashi fast attain salvation. By observing this fast, the mind is purified and the path of spiritual progress opens.

1. Bathe Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit and offer Tulsi

On the day of Ekadashi, after bathing in the morning, bathe the idol of Lord Vishnu with Panchamrit (milk, curd, ghee, honey and Ganga water). After this, offer him yellow flowers, basil leaves and yellow clothes. Then chant the mantra 'Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay' 108 times. This remedy is considered to give immense virtue.
