Bengaluru: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a reserve list for the Civil Services Examination 2023, recommending 120 additional candidates.
This candidate list included 88 from the General category, 5 EWS, 23 OBC, 3 SC, and 1 ST. These candidates, chosen based on merit, will fill the remaining vacancies in services like IAS, IFS, and IPS. However, 30 candidates’ selection still remains provisional, the notification said.

UPSC announced the initial results for the 2023 Civil Services Examination on April 16. It recommended 1,016 candidates for key positions. This included 664 men and 352 women, with the top 25 comprising 10 women and 15 men.
The UPSC CSE exam is held in three stages — prelims, mains, and the personality test to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Grade A and B posts in the central government and its departments.
