Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], October 19 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday unveiled the statue of Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai in front of the Hamirpur bus stand.
He also inaugurated various beautification works completed in Hamirpur city at a total cost of Rs 2.30 crore.
He inaugurated the rain shelter at Bhota Chowk, the beautification of the park in ward number 2, renovation work of Gandhi Chowk, a park constructed in front of the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), street vendor market Bhota, an aspirational toilet constructed near DC office and renovation work of Pratap Nagar Chowk, Dang Kuali Chowk and Puri Chowk.
CM Sukhu said that the present state government was working to make Hamirpur city beautiful and provide better facilities to the people.
He said that he had a personal interest in making Hamirpur city beautiful.
After the construction of the new bus stand, there was a plan to construct a big complex at the old bus stand.
MLA Ranjit Rana, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Sunil Sharma, Chairman of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank Kuldeep Pathania, Ram Chandra Pathania, former MLA Anita Verma, Congress leader Pushpinder Verma, Subhash Dhatwalia, District Congress President Suman Bharti and Chairman of APMC Ajay Sharma and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
