'You Are In For A Surprise' Users Call Ayan Mukerji The 'New Om Raut' For His War 2 Promise

Do you remember the infamous “Please leave one seat for Hanuman Ji” remark by Om Raut?

Back during Adipurush’s pre-release, the filmmaker’s comment became a running joke, as audiences began ‘leaving all the seats’ in theatres after the film’s second day. Om Raut’s statement aged poorly and now, Ayan Mukerji’s pre-release comments about War 2 seem to be meeting the same fate.

In the pre-release event for War 2, Ayan Mukerji said that people are in for a real surprise and they will discover it only after the release of the film.

The Reactions To Ayan Mukerji’s Comment

A majority of users are saying that they were surprised after watching the movie, but not in a pleasant way.

One user commented, “This Ayan has started to really irritate me now. He talks big and gives vada pav in the end. Same thing he did with Brahmastra. Hyped it up gave a nice video explaining the crux of the story and the universe, and then movie dekha toh bass irritating light hee light, weak screenplay, script, dialogues with nothing but Shiva, Shiva.”

War 2’s Critical Reception

Touted to be the biggest movie of YRF’s Spy Universe with a budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2 has opened to negative reviews from critics and audiences.

A majority of them were disappointed with the monotonous and formula-based storytelling, weak character executions, bad action choreography and poor VFX.
